Arrival by car

From Chur, the route leads via Reichenau to Waltensburg directly to the Waltensburg valley station. Or via Tavanasa, then over the Rhine bridge via Danis and Dardin to Brigels - directly to the valley station. Our parking spaces at the valley stations in Brigels and Waltensburg are newly renovated and subject to charges. Pay conveniently via the ParkingPay app, with Twint or at the coin-operated parking machines on site. The first 30 minutes are free.

Tip: For frequent parkers, the Parking season ticket is worthwhile - conveniently available online in the Brigels Bergbahnen Shop. This gives you relaxed and affordable parking directly at the valley stations throughout the season.

SBB

Arrival by train & public transport

Take the SBB train to Chur, then continue with the Rhaetian Railway to Ilanz. From there, take the Postbus directly to the Waltensburg valley station or to the Staziun Tavanasa stop - in Tavanasa, continue by Postbus to Brigels. Important: If you are traveling in ski equipment or have a valid ski pass, you can use certain PostBus connections free of charge.

 

Winter in Brigels

Local bus / winter sports bus

Our free local bus connects Brigels village with the valley station of the Brigels Waltensburg Andiast cable cars. There are two lines (line 1 & line 2) with stops in the village. The bus runs every 20 or 40 minutes (depending on the area). You can find the timetable and up-to-date information online at any time.

Hiking bus (summer service)

In summer, the hiking bus runs conveniently from Brigels via Dardin and Danis-Tavanasa to Waltensburg or Andiast and back. Use is free of charge. Advance booking the evening before is required for groups of 5 or more.

Dogs are not permitted on the shuttle bus.

The parking spaces at the Brigels and Waltensburg valley stations were completely renovated in summer 2018, which is why the parking spaces are subject to a charge.

Daily parking for all guests in winter (subject to charge daily from 08.00 - 16.00)

Daily 00.00 - 24.00: Only for Maisensäss owners/tenants vacation guests

Cars with a Zone 2 parking permit can only park in the correspondingly marked areas in Brigels and Waltensburg.

1. with the ParkingPay app

When paying with the ParkingPay app or the Parking Saison subscription, your vehicle is registered with us electronically. You do not need a ticket as a receipt on the windshield. Parking is checked electronically via the Securitas AG app.

Set up on your smartphone:

Step 1:
If you are not yet registered with ParkingPay, install the ParkingPay app on your smartphone, register and simply pay digitally.

Step 2:
Top up your parking fee account by deposit, credit card, Postcard or LSV or DebitDirect.

Step 3:
You can use your smartphone to pay parking fees and purchase parking permits:

  • Select location
  • Select zone
  • Select parking option (pay parking fees or purchase permit)

Parking fees are billed to the minute.

Multiple vehicles can be managed with the same parking fee account APP account. Only one parking fee account needs to be opened per family or company.

2. Via the Twint app

The Twint QR code can be found on the parking meter at the respective parking space. The parking duration can be selected accordingly in the Twint app.

3. At the parking meter

A parking meter is available at the parking lots in Brigels and Waltensburg. There are coin...

  • Enter the license plate number
  • Insert the coin
  • The ticket does not have to be deposited on the windscreen
  • Use the parking meter for the free period too

Zone 1 (day parking)

Winter parking permits for zone 1 can be obtained via the "ParkingPay App" or ordered online at brigels-bergbahnen.ch by providing your address and license plate number. Winter permits in Zone 1 are stored electronically, personal and non-transferable. Checks are carried out electronically without a parking card having to be deposited in the vehicle.

Season parking permits in Zone 1 are personal and non-transferable. (A maximum of 2 vehicles can be registered per season parking permit, whereby only one car can be parked in the parking lot at any one time)

Zone 2 (only for Maisensäss owners/tenants)

The zone 2 parking card is exclusively for the owners and their vacation guests of the huts on the mountain, who use the parking lot 24 hours a day. The zone 2 parking cards must be clearly visible behind the windshield for inspection. Zone 2 parking cards are transferable and therefore cannot be purchased via the "ParkingPay App". A card can only be used for one car in the same period.

For space reasons, only one season parking permit is issued per hut, by order of the registered owner, for zone 2. Vacation guests of Maiensäss should please contact the Maiensäss owner before arrival.

The Postbus is free with a valid ski pass or in ski equipment from Ilanz to Waltensburg or from Tavanasa to Brigels.
